My daughter and I went climbing today. She is 11 years old and has been climbing for about four years now I think. We have gone together to her training every week but I have never really had the opportunity to climb myself then more than maybe just one or two boulder problems.
However, that has really changed this year! She has become really good and also really loves to climb at the moment so we often just go there the two of us. During this summer we’ve gone there maybe twice a week and have had really great workouts. At this moment we are almost at the same level. I still have an advantage on some problems but on others I cannot even understand how she does to pull them off. Today, she was working on a black boulder problem that I had a really hard time just nailing the start of.
But this really spurs me to become better and more fit. I realize that it is only during a short period of time that we will be able to climb together on the same problems and I really want to make that as long a period as possible! It really adds a great will into my fitness project!
