My name is Mats and I am 44-year old man living in the southern part of Stockholm with my family. I have throughout my entire life loved sports and training. As I child I was more or less 100 percent focused on Table tennis but as I have grown older I have added more sports to my list. I also started coaching table tennis at a young age and continued to do so for about 10 years. This coaching background I think have helped me in adopting a new sport and really trying to find out how it should be performed in the best manner.
My life of sports in chronological order can roughly be described as follows:
up to 18 years old: Table tennis
18-25 years: Squash and Table tennis
25-32 years: Climbing, Golf, Running & Squash
33-40 years: Running, Gym & Beach Volley
40+ years: Padel, Climbing, Running, Gym & Golf
I would describe myself as pretty good but far from great in more of less all of these sports. I would also I think use that term to describe my own fitness level in general terms.
At this age however I really start to feel that my body is aging: I don’t recover from training in anyway near like I used to. I feel stiff and slow. Strength and stamina are both still pretty ok but running fast for example really gives me the feelingh that my sports watch is broken given how few metres it registers.
